57,200 sqm of land and destroy 89 items of unexploded ordnance by UNMAS

Everyday, explosive ordnance poses a threat to the people of Darfur, in #Sudan 🇸🇩.

Thanks to the support from  the Italian Cooperation, UNMAS has managed to release 57,200 sqm of land and destroy 89 items of unexploded ordnance + 633 small arm ammunition in North, West, and South Darfur, benefiting around 1 million people.

In addition, UNMAS multitasking teams were able to give explosive ordnance risk education (#EORE) to a total of 4,650 local community members.
