Environmental health campaign for waste collection, reclamation of flooded areas and vector control

Great success for the environmental health campaign for the collection of waste, reclamation of flooded areas and vector control carried out in the Hamashkoreeb community under the IHSVP Delegated Cooperation program.
The activity has foreseen the nebulization of permethrin, in order to prevent malaria which in the last years has widely afflicted the area.
The town of Hamashkoreeb has about 275,000 inhabitants, of which 20.2% are children under 5, about 11,000 children and 4,2% pregnant women, about 14,000.
