Opening ceremony of the trainings aimed at supporting trainings and socio-economic integration center for young people affected by conflicts in the Central African Republic

On Tuesday 16th October, at the Center Mont Carmel of Bimbo, about ten kilometers far away from Bangui, the opening ceremony of the training cycle took place as part of the project aimed at supporting trainings and socio-economic integration center for young people affected by conflicts in the Central African Republic.
The project, funded by the AICS aimed at promoting links between food security and peacebuilding, underlining the leading and technical role of FAO in key issues such as the agriculture, policies and actions promoters of peace, rural development and food and nutrition security. FAO is the designated executor; the implementation of the activities is delegated to the Italian NGO COOPI and to the Central African Institutions, organizations and associations linked to the agricultural and livestock sector.
With the official delivery of training tools and agricultural kits to young beneficiaries from 20 different districts of the capital, the project has entered its operational phase.
