Training on WHO health system framework in Bangui

The Bangui Office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation with competence for Sudan, Eritrea, Cameroon, Chad and CAR is running a Training of Trainers (ToT) on how to use the six pillars of the health system outlined by WHO to improve the management of the health districts of the Central African Republic (CAR). The ToT is an opportunity for the representatives of the seven health districts to learn more about the WHO building blocks of a solid health system, namely (i) service delivery, (ii) health workforce, (iii) health information systems, (iv) access to essential medicines, (v) financing, and (vi) leadership/governance.

The training is organized within the framework of the Delegated Cooperation health program RECARD aimed to strengthen the capacity of the health workers of CAR health districts, financed by the EU Bekou Trust Fund and implemented by AICS.
